My life was transformed by watercolour painting after I finished a thirty-year career in health care. I now find deep satisfaction in composing, drawing, and creating a painting, preferring a slow process with multiple layers that create texture and depth.
Detailed paintings of flowers, old teacups, and vintage finds are my favourite subjects, but sometimes I venture with a looser style into landscapes and portraits.
An accomplishment I'm proud of is a series of the provincial and territorial flowers of Canada, created for a colleague’s book “Positively Canadian”. See more at positivelycanadian.net
I am an Associate Member of the Federation of Canadian Artists; see more at: https://artists.ca/. I have shown my works at Vancouver’s Federation Gallery and other venues in the city.
I love painting in the sanctuary of my home studio. When not in my studio, I enjoy tending my garden, reading, travelling, and spending time with family, friends, and two dogs.
Thank you for your interest in my art!
