Jane Crosby - Artist

Return to blog from the art garden

My first consignment! My friend Heather asked me to paint the the provincial flowers for a book she is writing about the pitfalls of English grammar for ESL students, interwoven with an introduction to Canada. We started at Canada's east coast, and so far I have finished watercolours of Newfoundland's Pitcher Plant, Nova Scotia's Mayflower, and Prince Edward Island's Lady's Slipper. It's a pleasure to support my talented and enthusiastic friend, and an honour to represent Canada's special flowers. Next will be New Brunswick's purple violet.
